SEC Volleyball Schedule

As always the SEC volleyball schedule is super competitive for the 13

teams in the conference. 

Although Florida was picked to finished first, Kentucky missed the top

position by one vote and comes in at an extremely close second place,

followed by Missouri and Texas A&M to round out the four teams

at the top of the SEC preseason volleyball rankings.

SEC Volleyball Schedule: Televised Games on Opening Weekend

Florida opens the season with a bang with their first match against Texas,

the 2016  NCAA Championship tournament second place finisher

on August 25. 

On the same day, co-defending SEC champion Kentucky is scheduled to

face Utah on the same day at 9pm. 

After Texas, Florida is scheduled to play Nebraska on August 26.

Florida Gators

Last year's Southeast Conference championship co-title winners, finish

ninth in the country in the 2017 AVCA preseason coaches poll

cementing themselves as the highest ranked team SEC volleyball team

in the country. 

To be the best, you have to play the best and Coach Mary Wise plans

to do just that during the four weeks of tournament preseason.

Texas on opening day, followed by Nebraska on the second day, Florida

looks to maintain its position as a perennial powerhouse to be reckoned


Kentucky Wildcats

Coach Craig Skinner's and his 14th nationally ranked Wildcats, are one

of three SEC teams to receive a top 25 ranking in the AVCA preseason

volleyball coaches poll. 

Sandwiched between Florida ranked 12th and Missouri at 19th the

Wildcats set a program record this season, with a sixth consecutive year

that a Kentucky team ranks in the top 25 of the AVCA Preseason Coaches


The Wildcats open their volleyball schedule at home in  the

Blue Grass Battle hosting Cincinnati, Arkansas State

and #23 ranked Utah on August 25 - 26. 

Kentucky will face four other nationally ranked teams including #8

Kansas, #9 Creighton during the preseason before their SEC volleyball

schedule begins when they face #12 Florida and #19 Missouri.

Tennessee Volunteers pre conference volleyball schedule starts on:

Tigers will open the season with 10-straight matches on the road.

LSU opens its schedule at the University of South Florida Invitational Aug.

25-26 where it will take on Arkansas Pine Bluff, Northwestern and the Bulls.

The squad will then travel to the Dog Pound Challenge hosted by the

University of Connecticut Sept. 1-2. LSU will face Hartford and

Connecticut in a double header on Friday and return to take on Iona on


The final stretch of non-conference road matches will take place in

North  Carolina Sept. 8-10. LSU will face High Point at the Millis Center on

Friday, LIU Brooklyn at UNC’s Carmichael Arena on Saturday and the Tar

Heels on their home court Sunday. The final match of the road swing will

take place on Wednesday, Sept. 13, at Baylor.

The Tigers’ home opener will be the final non-conference meet of the

season against Houston on Saturday, Sept. 16. Southeastern Conference

play will begin on Friday, Sept. 22 when Texas A&M comes to Baton


The squad will have a quick turnaround with its first SEC road match of

the season against Kentucky on Sunday, Sept. 24. The following week,

LSU will travel to South Carolina and Florida on Friday, Sept. 29, and

Alabama Crimson Tide

At Alabama, the Tide won't do much travelling this season during

their SEC volleyball schedule which has 15 home matches, two home

tournaments and two away tournaments, one at Purdue and the other at

South Alabama

Arkansas Razorbacks

On August 25-26 Razorbacks host the Arkansas Classic at the Barnhill

Arena against CSU Bakersfield, ULM and Utah State.

This season the Razorbacks play 10 matches against eight teams that

participated in the NCAA Tournament last season. 

Auburn Tigers

The Tigers open their season at Georgia Tech on August 25th for the Hyatt

Regency Invitational .

A home match on August 29 against Alabama State is followed by a trip

to Puerto Rico on September 2-3 for a two day tournament. 

The Auburn Invitational is the next weekend on September 8-9, a short

break and then the final preseason tournament on September 15 -16 is at

the UM/FIU Invitational.

September 22 begins SEC volleyball schedule against Ole Miss

Ole Miss Rebels

Ole Miss SEC volleyball schedule quick facts:

• Ole Miss faces six NCAA Tournament team participants from last year, including SEC Champion Missouri and Texas A&M twice.

• The Rebels host the Rebel Invitational Aug. 25-27.  Teams include Louisiana Tech, North Dakota (2016 NCAA participant), Chattanooga and Florida A&M. 

• Sept 7-8 Ole Miss hosts the Rebel Classic with Austin Peay, Northwestern State and Mercer all travelling to Oxford.

• Other non-conference tournaments include the Arkansas State Tournament Sept. 1-2 featuring 2016 NCAA Tournament team SMU. The Rebels will round out the non-conference schedule with a trip to the most magical place on earth, Orlando, Florida for the UCF Tournament Sept. 16-17.

• In between the final two tournaments, the Rebels will travel to Greely, Colorado for a mid-week match at Northern Colorado on Sept. 12.

• SEC home matches include Auburn (Sept. 22), Alabama (Sept. 24), Georgia (Oct. 1), Florida (Oct. 13), Missouri (Oct. 25), Arkansas (Oct. 29), Mississippi State (Nov. 5), Texas A&M (Nov. 12) and South Carolina (Nov. 22).

• The Rebels play six conference teams twice, traveling to Mississippi State (Sept. 27), Arkansas (Oct. 6), Missouri (Oct. 8), South Carolina (Oct. 15), Texas A&M (Oct. 22) and Georgia (Nov. 10). Other road matches include LSU (Oct. 18), Tennessee (Nov. 17) and Kentucky (Nov. 19).

Mississippi State

The Bulldogs finished 2016 under Coach McFatrich with a 14 -18 season.

On August 25th, they open at the  ..SMU Doubletree Invitational
