Born in the volleyball-centric city of Hermosa Beach, California, Falyn's initiation into the sport almost seemed predestined.

Her sister, an Olympic swimmer who competed at the 1976 Montreal Olympics, along with her cousin, Eric Fonoimoana, a beach volleyball gold medallist at the 2000 Summer Olympics, served as significant influences throughout her journey in the world of volleyball.

Falyn's collegiate years were marked by significant accomplishments and a brisk rise through the ranks, as she played indoor volleyball at the distinguished University of Southern California (USC).

Her outstanding freshman season in 2010 saw her secure the second-highest number of kills on her team, earning her the Pac-10 Freshman of the Year and AVCA Pacific Region Freshman of the Year recognitions.

After her successful stint in college, Falyn embarked on a dynamic professional career. She played for various professional indoor clubs worldwide, from Puerto Rico's Criollas de Caguas and Orientales de Humacao to Poland's PGE Atom Trefl Sopot.

Even after retirement from indoor volleyball in 2016, her passion for the sport remained undiminished. 

She made a resounding return in 2022, signing with the American professional league, Athletes Unlimited.

Her comeback was marked by stellar performances, earning her accolades, including an MVP title. 

By the end of her return season, she ranked #19 out of 44 players, boasting an impressive record with an average of 2.86 kills per set, 103 digs, and 9 solo blocks.

For the 2023-24 season Falyn competes as a professional beach player on the AVP Tour and is an indoor pro on the Athletes Unlimited pro league.
