I was fortunate to play with and against and to be taught and coached by quite a few of these players in my college, beach and professional career.

One of the most competitive players in American beach volleyball history,  Liz Masakyan was voted by the players on the Women's Pro Beach Volleyball Association, the first professional beach tour in the United States exclusively for women, as the Most Valuable Player in 1992 and was the co-winner in 1993.

Before Misty May Treanor and Kerri Walsh, Karolyn Kirby held the record for winning the most event titles (67) than any other woman on the pro beach circuits.

Of all the famous beach volleyball players in the US, Angela Rock was most well-known for having a tough jump serve that she used to score points in games.
