Lets start with Aleeyah Loren's really good quotes for volleyball players who've missed a serve at game point.
Have you ever missed your serve at game point or hit out during a big game at a decisive moment?
Of course we all have.
🤔So How do you deal with failure?
.
.
Btw the more you think about your past mistake … key word is “past” .. the more you make yourself “unready” (🤣is that a word? ) for the next ball.
So now you can’t focus and prep on what’s happening in the “present” in the “right now” because you’re freakin out over what just happened in the past.
That’s when you tend to make another mistake because
👉🏾you ain’t ready!
.
.
Champions focus on getting over errors quickly and moving on to the
👉🏾next ball,
👉🏾the next play

This is definitely a "must read" with Zoe Fleckk's good quotes for volleyball players wondering what it takes to go to the next level or to level up in college.
Pay attention...you don't want to miss this....she literally gives a step by step manual of what she did to improve..(over 15,400 likes)

✔️truth telling to one’s self
✔️discipline
✔️mental toughness
✔️emotional strength
✔️mindset management"

probably the most asked question I get is how I went from a walk-on at UCSB & losing my love of the game, to an All-American & National Champion at Texas… and the answer is FILM STUDY!
I decided to take control of my learning experience and I began watching my own practices and matches, as well as some professional volleyball.
I closely watched some of the best liberos in the world play and figured out what techniques they were using to pass more efficiently and dig more balls than I was.
then I created specific technique goals for each practice and watched the practice film to see if what I was trying to do was actually happening & how it was working.
I did this every single day!
slowly but surely my passing became more efficient, I started to dig more balls, and I found myself able to read the game faster.
ALL of that came from taking control of my learning process by watching film!! YOU CAN TOO :)
What does discipline look like when you say YOUR SPORT is your priority?
Damian Lillard once again delivers some really good quotes especially for volleyball seniors preparing to go to the next level and play in college.
.
.
You can’t say “oh my sport is my priority” and continue to ignore doing what it takes to be a full-time goal oriented contributing member to your sports team.
.
.
Some things that don’t contribute to you maintaining a “ready to compete at the next level ” healthy body will have to be sacrificed in order to prioritize your athletic goals.
.
.
No you cannot “do it all” because something will break down and more times than not.. “that something” is what you need in order to compete and keep your position on the starting team.
.
.
Others who’re willing to prioritize doing what’s needed to “be ready” especially on teams with big rosters and lots of players ready to rumble and itching for a chance to show coach what they can do WILL get the playing time. Best believe. #areyouready

What if you could enjoy your off season and feel prepared for Fall without tearing yourself down?
Here are 6 ways
How:
1) Get 8 hrs of sleep. Start with small increments of change. Eg. Go to bed 15min earlier.
2)Do the off season work. Schedule it in your calendar and schedule in activities that fill your cup. Find the balance.
3)Notice what you are saying to yourself. Are you building your confidence or tearing it down? Change your narrative.
4)Choose friends that help you grow. The people you surround yourself with influence your life and your habits.
5)What advice would your future successful self tell you today? Write it down, practice repeating it daily as your new mantra.
6)Your thoughts create your feelings which lead to your actions or inactions creating your results.
You have impact.
Start prepping now for next season in your sport and life.
PS.
1:1 confidence coaching for athletes is now open. Be ready mentally and physically for Fall. Dm me to start the internal work now. You are worth the investment and time you’ll save yourself.
My thoughts on Alex Jean's quotes about body image and self acceptance the first year as a student athlete in college.
Your senior summer before you go to your first year of college as a student athlete… is not the time to have senioritis and to party … you need that summer to prepare yourself
👉🏾physically,
👉🏾mentally and
👉🏾emotionally
for the increased
👉🏾training workload, 👉🏾time management responsibilities for classes and volleyball
👉🏾competition for playing time,
that everyone faces, male and female when you get to college.
That’s what “next level” means. There’s more to do, there’s more to get ready for, there’s more you need to be able to handle.
.
.
If you’re not prepared to do those things during the summer then you’ll be playing catch up for the first 2-3 months of your freshman year.
.
.
.
I post players advising players, warning players, letting players know about what they did or did not do to prepare for a better first year (and succeeding years) experience so if what your parents or your coach is saying is not resonating with you about the need
👉🏾to train,
👉🏾eat right,
👉🏾do cardio,
👉🏾recover well,
👉🏾rehab and
👉🏾lift weights
your high school senior summer … maybe hearing the message from other student-athletes like yourself will help convince you, that there is no shortcut and that it’s better to be ready early than to get ready late.
(Ooh that last part was good 👍🏾 I have to remember that one😂😂)
