I'm Coach April Chapple. I'm a 3-time All American who played on the USA National Team, was named SEC MVP, and won 3 Southeastern Conference championships in four years at the University of Tennessee. I was the first American woman drafted for Major League Volleyball and played professionally in Italy. I'm in the Tennessee Hall of Fame, and my #2 career aces record (244 aces) has stood for over 40 years.

I represented the USA while playing professionally in Italy where I was one of the few American women to play in the finals of the FIPAV Division I Championship finals (with 4-time Olympian and silver medalist Paula Weishoff.

Proud of my starting senior libero Athena Zhen who at the beginning of her last club season was undecided on going to play volleyball in college and restored her love for the game and hopes in playing in college by the end of our 2024-2025 season.

Athena trained with me all summer of 2025 to prep for her freshman season at Molloy University.

After 25+ years playing professionally (Tennessee Hall of Fame, USA National Team, #2 career aces record) and 15+ years coaching college-recruited athletes in Las Vegas,

I've created a full collection of some of the first volleyball checklists that focus on what actually matters: mastering the skills that earn playing time and college scholarships.

I've taken the same systematic methods I use in private training and turned them into step-by-step checklists you can use anywhere.

These aren't generic "remember to practice" lists.

These are detailed, body-part-specific breakdowns of serving, passing, and skill execution that only someone who's performed at the highest levels can teach.

From exactly where to position your elbow during serves to the precise platform angle for perfect passes, these volleyball checklists give you the systematic development that transforms technique into automatic performance.
