If you want to be a good passer on your volleyball team you're going to want to
1. keep your shoulders facing the net. What I mean by that is that your shoulders are parallel to the net like Kenny's are in the video above.
2. As the ball crosses the net you want to drop your inside shoulder, which if you're passing from zone 5 which is the left side of the court, you'd drop your right shoulder and if you're on the right side of the court, you'd drop or angle your left shoulder towards the center front of the court before you
3. angle your passing platform to the target, which is just right of Zone 3, where the setter is waiting to set the ball.
Face your body to the net and angle your platform towards the target before contacting the ball.

Keep your eyes on the ball as it comes across the net.
Focus on the ball in the opposing server’s hand, not on the server’s face.
A good passer in volleyball watches as a ball coming over the net towards them decides early which side they will open up to ...getting their belly button out of the way, like you do when you play dodgeball, while creating their passing platform so they make contact with the ball when its outside of the body's midline.
Move your feet to position yourself close to the ball.
Pass with both feet on the volleyball court floor rather than doing the “jump- bump.”
I know its cool nowadays to lift one foot off the ground to pass a ball but most high school kids who haven't done a ton of balance leg work (which is what I do regularly in my client and club trainings) are a lot more stronger and can maintain their balance with two feet on the ground as opposed to one foot.
Why increase your chances of shanking a ball by passing on one foot when you can pass the ball right to your target keeping both feet on the ground.
